Referral marketing (a.k.a. Multi-Level-Marketing, MLM, Network
Marketing) is a particular variation on this theme. In essence
it is still selling a product / service on behalf of a 'parent'
company, but there are additional benefits to encourage you
to 'spread the word' and introduce others.
