Be aware of planning / building
regulations regarding your premises.
When choosing a UK premises, ensure that you have selected a property with the correct Use Class. If your business is likely to create excessive noise, fumes or smells, for example, it is unlikely that you will be able to do this in a property that sits next door to a residential dwelling house. Read more about the various Use Classes that stipulate the nature of usage for most commercial properties.
For new premises :
If it is a new building or change of use is involved;
Consult:
Your Local Authority Planning Department.

For Existing premises :
If the business involves plant or machinary installed within
an industrial site but outside a building, or
If your premises requires structural alterations;
Consult:
Your Local Authority Planning or Building Regulations Department/
County Council (Fire Authority) / Water and Sewerage Authorities.

compiled for the UK. This online resource offers planning information
pooled from many, but not all, local authority planning departments
of the UK.
