The company.
My Very Own Book was set up in July 1990 in London with the opening
of three sites where we first started selling our personalised
books in the UK. The response we received to the books was overwhelming,
which confirmed to us that the market for personalised books within
the U.K. was very large.
We sold our first dealership in January 1991 and, to date, have
experienced phenomenal success in appointing a further 125 personalised
book licensees within the UK
It was apparent in December 1992 that we needed to expand our
facilities due to the phenomenal growth. Our new European Head
office is now based in Nottingham which has capacity to ensure
efficient and effective consumer service and warehousing into
the next century.
The market for personalised books within the UK represents a
tremendous business opportunity. The product can be instantly
personalised making it a unique and treasured gift. There are
approximately nine million children under the age of 12 in the
UK with 750,000 new customers born each year. We offer a range
of grown-up books aimed at the over twelves, making everyone a
potential customer! The strong range of over 20 titles including
licensed cartoon books provide exciting, educational and entertaining
storylines. This coupled with superb quality makes the books acceptable
to the finest retail and mail order companies in the World.
A My Very Own Book license provides people without specific business
training, with a simple to operate and proven business package,
along with the on going support from our experienced personnel.
The ultimate goal of My Very Own Book is to encompass the whole
of Europe and become a household name.
